We can’t think of anything better than hanging out by a campfire with a cold drink and sleeping under the stars after a day of mountain biking.  If it’s a hot day, maybe a quick dip in the water too.

Mountain bikers gathered around a camp fire in camping chairs with a Fat Tire in the foreground

That’s why we’re hosting our annual member camp out at Curt Gowdy State Park where all of the mountain bike shenanigans can take place!

OMBA Member Camp Out

Curt Gowdy State Park

July 13-16

Click here to RSVP for the Curt Gowdy Camp Out!

OMBA will be arriving late afternoon on Thursday July 13 to secure our camp site at Camp Jack–a private dispersed camping area across the road from the Curt Gowdy State Park entrance.  Look for the blue Overland flying!  Bring the family!  Join us for the full trip, or just a night or 2.

Saturday night July 15 OMBA will cook burgers and brats for dinner.  Feel free to bring a side dish or dessert to contribute.

Riding options are endless at Curt Gowdy–it is an IMBA Epic riding area after all–with 35 miles of trails.  The blue/green Stone Temple loop is classic.  There are flowy downhill lines, technical trails, reservoir loops, and so much more!

Bring your watercraft to cool off on one of the 3 reservoirs post ride.  Swimming isn’t allowed, but kayaks and paddleboard are welcome.  Archery and fishing can also be enjoyed inside the park.  Please note, that if you drive into the park, you will need to pay the Day Use Fee.  Showers are available at the Visitor Center at the entrance of the park.  They are coin-operated and $0.50 gets you 3 minutes.

This is our annual members-only event, so check your membership and make sure it is current.  Encourage your friends to join too 😉

Sign up here to be counted for the Saturday night cook-out!

DAY USE FEE:  If you plan to drive your vehicle into the park, non-resident day use fees are required.  $12/vehicle
