During non-global pandemic years, Overland hosts numerous group ride opportunities.  Some of these are listed on our calendar as specific events.  We also encourage you to follow the Overland Mountain Bike Association Facebook Group to post about and see other member-planned rides.

Wednesday Social Rides

One of Overland’s longest running events is our Wednesday Social Ride.  While many other local groups now also host Wednesday rides, it all started with Overland.  Weather & trail conditions permitting, we meet every Wednesday from April thru October to enjoy Wednesday evening group rides.  Riding groups are formed at the start of each ride, and there are options for all ability levels.  We generally meet at Spring Canyon Park April – May & September – October.  June – August brings us to the popular Blue Sky Trailhead for more route options.  Check our Calendar for start times and other details.

Women’s Group Rides

On Sunday mornings the women of Overland meet for their own group rides.  Most Sundays the group meets at Soderburg Parking Lot to go explore the many trails of Horsetooth & Lory.  Typically one weekend per month the group heads out of town a bit to ride areas such as Hermit Park near Estes, Picture Rock in Lyons, Soapstone Prairie and Buffalo Creek.  Check our Calendar for start times and other details.

Destination Rides

We’re pretty lucky to have such great trails and riding opportunities in this area.  But…when you look around us at the potential areas for long weekend trips, there may not be a better spot in the world.  Moab, Steamboat, Aspen/Snowmass, Grand Junction/Fruita, Durango, Crested Butte, Angel Fire, Curt Gowdy, Jackson.  These are all areas we have either been to already or have plans to visit soon.  These trips are very popular as it combines a weekend of camping, riding and exploring some pretty incredible destinations.  Check our Calendar for more details.
