A public input process shepherded by the Larimer County Department of Natural Resources led to recent updates to the Horsetooth Mountain Open Space (HTMOS) Management Plan.  Overland  MBA had provided well-reasoned proposals to improve the trail system to better disperse trail users, provide better trail connectivity, and improve the riding experience for mountain bikers.  

A few short weeks ago the Trail Crew for the Larimer County Department of Natural Resources began work on the new 1.3-mile climbing connector from the Nomad Trail to the Stout Trail.  Work will be on the upper section of this new trail.  Volunteers from several organizations including OMBA, are now working alongside the LC Trail Crew on the following select dates.
