OMBA is partnering with Fort Collins Natural Areas and Larimer County Natural Resources for two big projects to open up Dig Season.

First up our trails volunteer crew will be performing some major upgrades in Reservoir Ridge.  Work will focus on specific sections on the east side of the trail to tackle erosion, drainage & user-generated widening issues.  We will work to bring back & maintain the singletrack nature while maintaining the current character of the trail…and hopefully improve the user experience a bit as well.  Dig Days will be select Tuesday and Thursday in April and May.  Click here to sign up to join in the work!

Next we are joining Larimer County’s trail crew on two specific Dig Days to help build the new Nomad-Stout connector trail in Horsetooth Mountain Open Space.   We will be removing shrubs, turf, and rock as we shape the new trail, and may be constructing several rock structures. All tools and leadership guidance provided. Your work will help get this trail open to public by July 1, so come out and join us!  Click here to volunteer for Horsetooth Dig Days!

Volunteering for Dig Days is open to all OMBA members who are physically capable of doing the work.  Education and guidance is always provided.
