Tour de Fat changes things up this year with a new format, but the same great spirit and still benefiting the same non-profit organizations as in years past, Overland, Bike Fort Collins, The Co-op and Ciclismo. The world-renowned bike parade still kicks-off the event, but this year, the main event, a festival and concert with big-name headliners, takes place at New Belgium Brewing later in the day.
Even if you do not plan to attend the concert, be sure to join in the fun of the parade! It is still one of the biggest bike parades in the world and definitely the most unique and fun! Join us at 10am Saturday morning at the corner of Meldrum and Maple Streets (map) to get things rolling.
In-between the parade and the main event, there will be pre-parties all over Old Town and other great activities to keep you amused and engaged. There will be plenty of opportunities to keep the fun rolling and opportunities to further support the non-profits until heading over to New Belgium Brewing for the main fesitval/concert. It will have the same feel of past Tour de Fats, with all of the frivolity, fun and beer, with the addition of a kick-ass concert with the All-American Rejects and the X Ambassadors.
Read all about it below or go to http://www.newbelgium.com/events/tour-de-fat/city/fort-collins, buy your tickets and get ready for a new and exciting Tour de Fat in 2017!
We need plenty of volunteers to make this event a success. Volunteers will receive free entry to the concert and two beer tokens…the best spots are going fast.
