Overland is a 501c3 organization that is run by a board of directors.  Directors serve a 2-year term and we have a total of 7 positions.  We have 3 positions to be filled this year.  Under the new By-laws election rules, 2 board positions will be elected by club member vote and 1 other will be appointed by the existing board for this 2-year term.

Board members are the ones forming the overall strategic direction for the organization and ensuring our continued operation.  Board members play a role in advocacy, fundraising, marketing & communications, land agency relationships, membership development, event planning, developing Overland’s Trail Vision Plan and general governance and oversight.  With current membership of over 600, Overland is the leading organization in the region for mountain biking and multi-use trail advocacy.

If you would like to be a leader in our Northern Front Range mountain bike community, we ask that you strongly consider running for a position on our board of directors.  We have MANY great upcoming opportunities for new and improved trails in our region.  We are also facing real threats of losing some of our existing access and trails.  Interested persons should submit a brief candidate statement stating why you would like to be a director, what you would like to accomplish or focus on, any relevant skills/experiences that will aid in our success, brief personal background, etc.  Having an accounting background or experience with websites or social media are a plus, but not required.

Candidate statements should be emailed to elections@overlandmtb.org no later than October 16th.
