Overland Mountain Bike Club – Ride. Connect. Contribute.  Overland Volunteers Ride the trails we build and maintain.  We Connect with the regional trails community.  We Contribute as Trail Stewards of our public and private lands.  Regional public land agencies value Overland leadership and trail skills for building new, and maintaining existing trails.

The OMBC Trails Committee will present its third annual Advanced Trail Skills Training.  This final trail skills training of the year will be led by Todd Thibodeau, a longtime OMBC, DPMBP, and Trails Committee member.  Todd was instrumental in designing and implementing the highly regarded trail system at Curt Gowdy State Park up in Wyoming, as well as the new alt line constructed by Overland on the Sawmill Trail at Horsetooth Mountain Open Space.  His presentations are always entertaining and awe inspiring!

Part 1 begins with a classroom session Wednesday, May 4 from 6-9pm at the PFA Admin Bldg. Conference Room, 102 Remington St., Fort Collins, CO  80524.   Space is limited, so please sign up now!

Part 2 will continue on Saturday, May 7 from 8am-3pm with valuable hands-on field practice at the Michaud Lane trail section on the eastside of the City of Fort Collins Reservoir Ridge Open Space.  This is a rare opportunity to construct a new alt line in the Fort Collins area!  We are limited to just 20 volunteers onsite for this field session.  Volunteers can only signup during the classroom session.  We hope to have a good mix of highly experienced trail constructors as well as volunteers passionate about advancing their skillset.  Learn new skills or refresh/update your existing Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities!

Please Note:  There will be additional opportunities to volunteer on several weekday late afternoons prior to May 7 to help stage rock, as well as on weekday late afternoons after May 7 to continue the work.  Again, please signup for the classroom session to be eligible on the contact list.

Free to Overland members;  $20 for non-members (Hint: Join the club and attend at no cost!  Individual membership is $20 and Household membership is $35.)  Class fees will be collected at the door – cash or check made out to Overland Mountain Bike Club.
