Friends of Lory Trail day with Overland Mountain Bike Club
September 13, 2010 by bikekor
Just a heads up. There are rocks at Bobcat Ridge. Big ones. Little ones. Sharp ones… And I almost couldn’t find the top skinny log ride due to all the overgrowth. Anyway, hope you all had a chance to ride this weekend.
A huge thanks to the group that showed up at the Shoreline Trail. Pictures of the day will be up soon in the gallery. Rumor has it that the day was very successful and a lot of work got done. Thanks for getting out and giving a trail that gets used a lot some love.
Speaking of trail work, Friends of Lory Trail Day is this Saturday. This is a signature event for Overland and has been an annual gathering for over 15 years. Please make a point to sign up for the event and plan on coming out on Saturday to help us out. So far, we have 9 people signed up. Tell your friends, tell your family. Everyone’s welcome!
Elections for the Board of Directors will take place at our next meeting. Please plan on attending and if you have questions about time commitments, what the board actually does, etc. please contact one of us and ask. From a personal standpoint, I can tell you that being on the board has been extremely rewarding and has been time well spent.
Don’t forget, Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day is just around the corner. Register your child HERE.
Patrollers: We've had a great season. Our patrol hours are outstanding. Keep up the great work! There's still plenty of time to get out and ride!
Here’s a quick rundown of this week’s stuff:
