Preserving the Northern Colorado Mountain Biking Experience

Overland Mountain Bike Club promotes the active, healthy sport of mountain biking by providing education and assistance to all trail users, and by working to build and maintain quality, sustainable trails that enhance the mountain biking experience.

Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, the Overland Mountain Bike Club patrols trails within the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest as well as other Front Range areas such as Lory State Park and Horsetooth Mountain Park. The Patrol works in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service, Colorado State Parks, and Larimer County Parks and Open Lands.

Meetings

Member meetings are held monthly during the patrol season (March through October) and are open to the public. See the activities calendar to find out times and places.

Newsletter

Stay on top of all the upcoming events, exciting advocacy efforts within the community, and all of the exiciting issues from the trails across all four regions.

Trail Maintenance

Doing trail work is a key part of membership. Patrollers often participate in multiple trail-work projects throughout the season, working with the U.S. Forest Service, Colorado State Parks, Larimer County Parks and Open Lands, and other service organizations.

Social and Training Rides

We occasionally schedule non-patrol "social" rides to give potential members a chance to meet the patrollers and learn more about the patrol. Join us on a ride and check us out!

Board of Directors

Our members elect a board of directors each year, most recently in October 2009. Current board member list. (PDF)

Trails. That's Why.

Overland Mountain Bike Club loves trails. Singletrack. Rocky technical. Fireroads. You name it. If it’s not pavement, we want to ride it. We are a group of fun-loving people who love to get out and ride. We also know that the Northern Colorado/Southern Wyoming Region has some of the best mountain biking in the country. We don’t have to drive hundreds of miles to put in an epic day. We can ride right out our back door. And, we work to keep it that way. Join us for a ride. Join us for a trail day. Join us for a meeting. See what we’re all about. The benefits of membership are well worth it.

Helping Others for 15 Years.

For 15 years, our Certified Mountain Bike Patrollers have worked to assist bikers, hikers, and horseback riders. Trained in First Aid, CPR, and basic bike maintenance, our Patrollers help users enjoy their experience outdoors. Patrollers focus their attention towards education, not enforcement, and keep an eye out for anything on the trail that might disrupt someone’s outdoor experience.
